High Adventure Canoeing Camp out

Posted on Apr 9 2019 - 5:39pm

Jul. 7/24- Aug. 8/3

High Adventure 2019 – Boundary Waters Canoe Area WildernessThis summer we are going back to the BWCA!  This trip is for Scouts 13 years and older who are First Class rank or higher and have the canoeing merit badge.  Scouts without the canoeing merit badge can get it at summer camp or can work with Mr. Lundquist to earn it this summer before the trip.  Parents are welcome to join us on this trip.  We will be leaving early on Saturday, July 27th and returning on Saturday August 3rd, and will be canoeing from Sunday through Friday, with Saturdays as travel days.  Costs will be minimal as the troop is supplying most of the gear and we are bringing our own food.  We have permits for three crews of up to nine people per crew; each crew will develop their own menu, so meals will be flexible.  We estimate costs to be approximately $250/person.  We will have an informational meeting at 7 PM on Monday, April 29th in the scout room, all parents of interested scouts should attend.  Please contact Mr. Lundquist if you have any questions.
